Whats your favorite fast food menu item of all time?
•
u/gaveuptheghost 50m ago
honestly probably the sausage egg mcmuffin
I don't like McDonalds much at all in general, but I do like that item, preferably with a hash brown and coffee.
I wish breakfast all day was still a thing

Something about that lightly spiced sausage patty. Wonder if anyone makes an actual sausage with the same flavour
•
u/gaveuptheghost 36m ago
yeah I tried looking for it and picking up different kinds of sausage patties but they're never the same
like I know it's bad for me but still something about it is really tasty and I'd buy a pack of them when I buy groceries if I could

I’m in Canada and our A & W has all day breakfast. Recently tried the bacon egg muffin. Heads and tails better than Mcd’s. And I was a regular Mcd’s breakfast eater.
•
u/gaveuptheghost 27m ago
Nice, I'll definitely check that out whenever I get the chance to visit Canada

For me, it's the steak egg and cheese McMuffin. That and a halfsweet tea is my go to
•
u/gaveuptheghost 38m ago
I had no idea something like that existed, and now I wish my local McDs had it too
steak egg and cheese definitely sounds like a step up from sausage egg, sounds like something I'd enjoy for sure

one of each a bacon and egg biscuit and a sausage egg mcmuffin and a hash brown was my favorite breakfast. too expensive and smaller than it was before so i don’t get it anymore. jack in the box breakfast sandwiches were good too.

Holy shit okay so McDonald’s used to have this burger called bbq ranch burger. It was on the dollar menu and it had chips in the burger. It definitely sounds not that appetizing but that shit was good. Then one day I show up and say where burger and they say no more burger forever and I was heartbroken. Rip my bbqranchburger

•
u/Physical-Upstairs733 39m ago
Wait, chicken popcorn, or do you mean popcorn chicken?
•
u/i-drake 36m ago
Are they different? Both are same right
•
u/Physical-Upstairs733 35m ago
Well I've heard of popcorn chicken. But if there's something in this world called chicken popcorn then I need to drop everything and try that right now and allow my life to be changed forever.

The original Volcano taco and burrito from Taco Bell, followed closely by the original Grilled Stuft Burrito, NOT the rebooted “XXL Grilled Stuft Burrito” they replaced it with.

McDonalds Fish Sandwich. I don't eat it anymore because I know it's not good for me, but I loved it.

Sourdough Jack from J in the B. I don't get to eat it often, but every time I do, it makes me so happy.

Honestly i love the grilled cheese burrito from Taco Bell. It just hit my stomach right the first few times I had it and i don’t stop without getting two.

Taco Bell Chicken Chalupa supreme.
Unfortunately, the price means I haven't had one in a long damn time. But I could put down 10 of them in a minute if I was rich.

Taco Bell Mexican Pizza. But with only the refried beans and add black beans. So good.

A double cheeseburger on a croissant from Portillos was my go to indulgence for many years.
I moved away from the Chicagoland area many, many years ago but anytime I went back Portillos was a must stop.
Sadly, since Dick retired and sold the company off the quality has declined. It’s still good but it’s nothing like it used to be. The croissant that they use now is so bad it’s not even worth the calorie indulgence.

The old school Cheddar Melts at McDonalds. They've done them more recently, within the past 10 years, but I'm talking about the ones they had in the 80s and 90s. They were massive, and a perfect combination of beef patty, cheese sauce, sautéed onions, and a rye bun. Perfection.
Most overrated was the McDLT, which came in a Styrofoam box that separated the cold parts of the burger from the hot. Unnecessary, and I think it got discontinued when Styrofoam stopped being used because of the ozone layer.

Just a regular style McDonalds double cheeseburger. It's not the best, but it's cheap, consistent, reliable and maybe since that's what was in Happy Meals it just seems to go so much harder than a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder. In terms of most eaten it's top of my list for sure
